This one is of a photo of my sister and I when we were maybe about 5-6 and 8-9 years old. I really wish there were dates on these pictures because I'm only guessing on the ages. In any case, this photo means a lot to me; it doesn't look like much besides my sister and I just standing, but each time I look at the picture it reminds me of the place and times it was taken. For many years, before my grandmother passed away, my family would spend a good part of Sunday afternoon/night at my Aunt's house visiting with my grandmother who my Aunt took care of.

And well the journaling tells the story of what I think of when I look at this photo:

Sunday
Even after over 20 years I recall the place this photo was taken. For years we spent most Sundays at Aunt Ina’s house visiting with my memere. On most days there wasn’t much for my sister and I to do but sit around and listen to the grown-ups talk and play cards. I remember being so happy when our cousin Patty was home because it meant we could hang out and have fun. We even made a cassette tape of our beautiful screeching voices! I wonder where that tape is today??
I’d love to spend just one more day in that moment since I miss my precious memere so much. Looking at this picture makes me think of the times when my father would playfully arm wrestle her and he would let her win. It was just so wonderful to see her laugh and smile every time! I think she enjoyed it more than we did!
Since we can’t tun back time, I can only keep those memories tucked away forever in my heart.

I don't have many pictures of myself when I was small but the ones that I do mean so much to me for one reason or another and this one is no exception.
